About EPSS Poetry

Poetry at the intersection of science, discovery, and human reflection.

EPSS Poetry is a curated poetry collection connected to UCLA Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences (EPSS) and the UCLA Meteorite Museum.

The collection highlights poems written by scientists, students, and members of the EPSS and Meteorite Museum community, exploring themes of space, Earth, time, discovery, and the human experience of science.

Purpose of the Collection

  • To showcase creative expression inspired by scientific research and exploration
  • To provide a space where scientists and students can share poetry alongside their academic work
  • To preserve and highlight selected works, including annual and special recognitions

Submissions & Community

The primary focus of this collection is poetry written by scientists and students connected to UCLA EPSS and the Meteorite Museum. As the collection grows, space may also be provided for invited contributions from the broader community.

Submission workflows, moderation, and featured selections may evolve over time as the project expands.

EPSS Poetry is part of the broader UCLA EPSS web ecosystem and is maintained in coordination with departmental and museum initiatives.
